I loved creating this piece, I feel powerfully what she has to say, and her inner strength speaks to me.
This piece knew what it was from the beginning, and creating her was as close to effortless as a painting can be.
The Stakes is a really special work, close to my heart. I’m so excited for her to find her home.
She is powerful, enigmatic, and she knows who she is. I love to ponder what she is thinking, feeling or seeing in this moment, but I will leave it to you the decide what she means to you.
